Surfed some small but fun pyramids today with great conditions the whole time. fm bout 12 to 330 me and about 3 others in the middle with various others out at the rock and down by nort b. had some nice sand bar barrel closets right/lefts good to get in nice bright blue water after bein stressed out on the ship!!

anyone ever look after a 10 month old keiki???
my boy's wearing me out!
i'm pooped, he's got a duracell battery inside i swear!

Made it out to Jox about 9:30. First time in real waves since before Christmas. Very light south winds and a nice angle on the swell. Mellow crowd of about 10 and lots of waves to the sets equals lots of waves for everyone. OH+ to near DOH with a couple almost closing out. Had one good barrel then it started junking out and I couldn't catch a wave in to save my life. Started getting desperate and had two spectacular wipe-outs in a row. Looked like full on west winds when I left at 1:30.

Went to work job 2 - Bad move sicker now, than before.

Adder- wait till they get to be 10 yrs and then 20 yrs old - AND they still got that damn enegizer bunny going!!!!!!

Rich & K7873 - Good on ya for getting some out in the blue wonder. Friigin stoke second hand is better than second hand alas anytime.....

Cough syrup, tylenol, and good night....

didn't surf. the waves were about head high and a little over. wind was hardly any, but it was looking a bit lumpy out there. i had second thoughts about surfing. (i would have paddled out) stuck w/ plan "A" i walked around this tidal pool/beach. you have to "hike" to it.'s i'm glad i did. saw a star fish(i think that what they are called), sea urchins moving around in the shallow water, several little fishes, and plenty of shells. the waves offshore were breaking on this flat shelf, that was slippery.the wave was tubing/closing out to the left. it looked possible, but heavy too. (it's not kaena either)

i like finding new places like this on our Island that i never been to. i'm going there more often to see what it's like when smaller. i'm sure people surf the place but today was my 1st day even checking it out.

i'm gonna surf tomorrow :? somewhere

Covered everywhere today from eotr to 7th hole, pretty lumpy everywhere, about 4-6 with some bigger ones at spots. pipe looked like the best spot.

In the morning we surfed near my house warbly 4 foot, not to good so we ended the session after like 40 minutes or something....

Watching pipe saw this one guy get a super late drop, sketch, almost spin out bottom turn into triple overhead barrel, it spits, and then he comes out, sooo sick...

Ended up 7th in kuhuks was kind of lumpy, but there was a occ 4-5 foot right hander that would come through, not bad I thought. Side-offshore winds out there, pretty strrong. All by ourselves though...

The new board is superb, paddles well, repsonsive and quick. The Red-X next generation fins so far so good ... my first impression was 'hey this seems FAST'! overall super stoked, but there's a noticeable quirk in the way it reacts in certain situations. Hopeful to know better when i try it with the regularly folied fins for comparison, later this week. could be the board, the fins or very possibly OPERATOR ERROR (kook alert!) :P

I'd be very interested in what quirks you have experienced. I've found they are very smooth rail to rail, low drag and hold well in power. The down side I've found with them is in weaker surf. There is definitely not as much to push against when you're down speed and trying to thrust out of the hole. But, in waves with power, I have found them to work with noticable improvement.
