2005 - 1 Surf Check January

been really big and juicy here at sunset last couple o days, pipe's been going mental tho and fun to watch.

i've been having some fun out at freddy's which did a nice clean up tonight, lotsa fun on the new makani (thanks Bud!!)


first time i went out there i was right between a huge muscly hawaiian guy and a haole dude. the haole got two waves in a row, and it got the local guy pissed!! he started yelling at him, cussing him out, and told him to get out of the water! then eddie rothman paddled over (he was friends with da local) and joined in the tirade.

then, the local dude stared over at me, and said, "where you from, eh?"
i was all, "duh, texas" and figgered i was gonna get the call to go in too!
but he says "welcome to the islands, got any wax????"
big smiles, the crew passed it around, i even got a little nubbin back!
hehehehe


they were super nice and called me into some waves!!
woot!!

lotsa hot chicas out there too, that never hurts!

..............had an okay morning off the pizziont with LG and his roomate. The current southy had faded though. O-well. The house got crowded with the usual dumbies that sit on the inside peak and get in the way.

.........well anyway, I got another board for sale in anyone's in the market. You can go check it out at http://www.surfboardshack.com for pics. The board is only a month old and has one long pressure ding that was fixed by the man, Mr Jay Rush himself. It is a 6' 6" G. Pang, about 2 1/2" thick and ready for the country. This is a good board and likes it a little juicy so if ya wanna look see, lemme know. Hey Laks, you just broke one didn't ya? LATEs

It's a good thing I'm not good at surfing because I don't catch 2 back to back waves like that....
