Yeah Adder, I figured since the way he described his symptoms he has a pretty nasty respitory infection and most likely bacterial too, so instead of going with Doxycycline or Erithromycine better to knock it out with a 1, 2 punch of a strong antibiotic like Zithro. at the 3 day 500mg instead of the 250 mg for 5 days.

By the way Hmark where do you feel the majority of your congestion upper or lower lungs? Cause if my knowledge serves me right, lower lungs congested is a bad sign and can indicate possible pnuemonia, if that the case get your ass to the doc tommorow.

Adder please if I'm wrong let me know, cause I'm no doc I just read alot. Plus I have had my share of sicknesses and in PR at the local pharmacies if they know you, you can buy many prescription meds over the counter without a doc's prescription especially if you have some knowledge of what not to mix, can identify your symptoms, and dont abuse the privledge.
PS
Sorry about the screw up, 4 some reason I thought you were a dentist :?
PPS
I never thought of that, you could probably fax the RX to a pharmacy in Hmarks area.

(Sorry this is in the Surf check section)

............it turned out to be one of those magical Hawaiian surf sessions for me today. Did my eastside run to the country stopping along the way with nothing looking enviting. The wind was light and variable. Got to a spot that looked pretty okay and called a few wavelusters to check my options. After hearing country was junk I drove down the road a bit and hopped in at a spot I always look at but never surfed. There were only a few guys and spread out peaks all over. It was like beach break but further offshore. The winds got lighter and the head high peaks got more consistant. Got an in & out on the first one! Lots of rippable walls to be had their as well! As the sun went down the winds died and I felt truly blessed for the afternoon! :)

.........I couldn't help but to think on the nice drive home that it was great to have this as my "playground".

:D went to the big island for a few days to see fmaily and friends. hadn't seen a blood relative in 5 years. what a weekend there. snow on the mountains was godlike on sunday. have never seen them that crowned with snow. you could actually see the snow blowing off the top of the peaks. stayed at my friends ranch that is above 2000ft and man it was cold ahd to keep the fireplace going.

soe of the relatives are diehards from back east they live on the beach in maine where we are all from so obviously i had to deliver some goods. treked around the kona coast up to kohala in pouring rain and had a hunch that pololu valley would be the call. sure enough that little northeast swell was combining with smooth conditions down in the valley. big island winds are sometime hard to figure due to the immense size of the mountains. anyway hoofed down in the rain and scored 2-3ft perfect glass with good sandbar setups. was unreal and all was good except the fact we were freezing. can't believe i was in the water with me and relatives that i'd never met and we had a spot that gets good maybe a few times a year. i almost had a nervous breakdown. went back tuesday and it looked even better. ran down and it was 6 foot and although the mainers said we gotta try we got swept down the beach and pounded by relentless white water. never made it out. was the best weekend i've had in a long time. oh yeah a lightening bolt cracked in the backyard that was so loud no one could even identify the sound for a while.
that spot off the h-3 rocks!!!

Holy shit - someone gotta tell me if there is another site where you can get surf stoking stories, a surf up date, and medical advice all in one link!!!!!!!!!!!

Friigin google got NOTHING on 808wavelust! Or webMD for that matter.

Thankx all for the input, I gots a good Doc at Kaiser - she is a dedicated soul - gave me the said Z-botic - and told me no go work - BUT I went anyway to jobbo 2 - friigin hotels are packed with conventioneeeers and 1 employee out for a death in the family - so doofus me I go.

Am on my 4 days off (work da other job for 4 days, so what the fuck does OFF mean) and figger Id stay outta da water and wind to recoup the health. But damn if slap's post neva send me thinking about that spot he was speaking about. Never seen that sucker break but like 2X, but you see all kine smallies rolling tru at diifrent times, KNOWING that in around a hunderd years its gonna be Pipe-like (well mebbe a thousand) Mega would know more on the time frame stuff.

Now only if the C&C of Honolulu would pay a professional what they are worth, I wouldnt have to work 2 jobs and could go surf more often....

Ah the dreams we have......

Mahalo's gangy....

your observations are pretty sound!

hmark glad u got the hook up, let me know ifn you ever need nething.

s9j i'll be there next saturday, not this one. seems like lots o swell has been happnin, just the west winds that make it trickier finding spots.
east side is a big side tho, specially with these bigger swells!

skunked!

Postby blahlah » Thu Jan 13, 2005 5:50 pm

i got off work early for a doctor's appointment, which also ended early.

I made a 4:00 pm run for the east side. On the way, the AH spots were all messed up by the very strong SW winds. Small too. Maunalua Bay was real choppy, saw a windsurfer out in the middle of the bay, which i thought was unusual.

Drove past sandy's which was also small and messy. I's looked terrible, no one out, same as AD's.

Went all the way to Maks and the conditions were much nicer, such a change to round the corner. But alas, it was barely dribbling on the beach.

RI looked to have some small fun ones but i couldn't really see and it never really is an option for me. people were out at the roach too but not doable on the shortboard.

So I turned around and drove all the way back to work in downtown. Oh well, at least i tried.

Maybe dis weekend (3 days, thanks Dr. King) - my Navy buddy is back in town and if the winds stay this way perhaps he will allow me to share the forbidden beachbreak with him. :D
Brah, it's just like, just get the best barrels ever dude. Just like, pull in, just get spit right out of it, drop in & just smack the lip, WHUH-PACK!! Drop in, BARAAH!!! Then after that, just riding the barrel & get pitted, SO PITTED, like that.

Jahsurfs, I didn't know you were in SD. I just came back from there tonight. Caught some small LJS and W/S today (Thu). Buddy and I know George Barnes from alt.surfing. Kneeboarder from OB who is a damned good photographer.

So what boys? Have I missed much? Sounds like there was some waves to be had if you knew where to look. Looks like a big swell is on the way, but the winds don't look so hot. Looking forward to trying my new board.

All junky in the country again!! It was semi-glassy early, but looks like its funking up already @8

Nearly dead flat on the SE corner today. Best would be RI at maybe knee to waist high. I've surfed one time since xmas I don't count Nalo shore break. I missed a few good days because of a cold but mostly I've been too picky and lazy to go hunting on marginal days.
