Had to fix the car this afternoon, so jumped in at Kewalos while I was waiting. The south just wasn't as big as expected (surprise). Still, there was some decent talent out there to make it interesting, including Coco and Carissa.

Good stuff Neo!

Took my short board out for the first time in a couple months. Bigger than I expected, and at first I thought I'd really blown it, but then I caught a really fun wave and now I'm reconnected with it again. The pod of regulars will be overjoyed to see me struggling away on the inside again, I'm sure...There were only a few folks out, one who told me how it had been really good from 8:30 ta 9:30. I came out at 9:40. :|
Wind was up a bit but there were some chest ta little bit overhead's coming through. This one lady was out...kind of a beginner...and she just had a target on her head. She would paddle outside, and as soon as she'd get out a set would come and clean her up to the inside. Must of happened 8 times in a row. She was pretty good natured about it...I would've been so salty! Finally she gave up and just hung on the way inside.
Thinking about a sunset session later...

Still fun this evening. Solid head high with some pluses, small crowd of regular faces that thinned out as the sun dipped closer to the horizon. Arms are noodly, sinus's filled, eyes bloody and sore. It's a beautiful night. :D

Beautiful sunrise, but tough conditions made it hard to line up the rare clean ones. Had some fun though out there, getting axed a few times. Always love talking story with some of the boys.

Dude you nailed it with this pic! So awesome! !-!
I always look forward to your posts. The pics just get better and better. Thanks for sharing them!

Looked pretty nasty from shore this morn...side-onshore and maybe head high... We were gonna bail, but decided an hour of exercise wouldn't hurt us so we paddled out. So glad we did. Only 2 others out, and the wind was a non-issue. In fact it was downright glassy at times. Super consistent head high's with an occ. plus that my pal chased, and hitting the inside reef nearly perfect. Da Slippah was in its element and I caught so many really good waves that by the end of the session I was praying for a time-out to rest my arms...but here'd come another one.... Probably the most fun in a single session in a long time.
Crazy how it looked so crappy from shore...

Nice pics Neo, as usual. Jumped in before work at the house, for the first hours, two long board local mafiaso lookin types took all the sets with no shame...a bit of a bummer but for the last couple of hours it was really fun. Marshall C. Cedric N to name a few and a good time in general... L^]

Although I'm sure 96% of y'all have seen this video... Everyone's favorite, love/hate wave Ala Mo, (or as I like to call it, Bowels...) during last week's contest.

or you can watch the final, with heavily-biased commentary towards the eventual winner, Jason Shibata. Pretty funny.
