in the news.......from surfline.

In the news: A local state representative has initiated a proposal to create an artificial reef on Oahu's westside designed specifically for surfing. Lahilahi Point, or "Cornets Beach" as it's known by locals, has a perfect right hand pointbreak setup but the reef is uneven and close to shore. The new design would move the break farther out and would give the surf some shape. Lahilahi is just south of Makaha, which during winter months gets overrun with crowds when the North Shore begins to max out. This project would be the first of its kind in Hawaii, and if designed to work in harmony with the existing eco-system and community, could be the start of something good.

just off the top of my head i can think of 3 beter ways to spend money on the west side. hey everyone lets go throw our money in the sea........

Well, at least the real estate will go up with all the Cali 'investors' looking to stake their claim of the New-kaha.

Just drive around and find some guys hanging out in cars with no wheels on them and ask for directions. Don't forget to take some photos. They love that isht.

Rumor has it, that is was supposed to be a 3 hour tour.
(I know its dumb, but I couldnt help myself)
"Keep firing, make your attackers advance through a wall of bullets. You may get killed with your own gun, but they'll have to beat you to death with it, because it's going to be empty!"
