The man who ran a very controversial commercial shark tour operation on the North Shore has died. Jimmy Hall was killed in a base-jumping accident in Northern Canada. He became an overnight national sensation after video and photos showed him free swimming with a 20' Great White Shark off of Haleiwa in 2005 during one of his tours. It was these tours that had the North Shore community and surfers up in arms. There were grave concerns about his activities attracting more and larger sharks into near shore waters after attacks and sightings shot up in recent years. After a federal 3 mile-ban was enforced, Hall and other operators continued to protest loudly. It is unclear how his death will affect his operation. He was 40.

anyone believe in Kahunas ? i wonder .......
