NW Hawaiian Islands

Postby red » Thu Jun 29, 2006 9:38 am

Saw a letter to the editor in the Weekly yesterday and I was thinking the exact same thing. When has this president ever done anything for the reason that he said? It seems like every action has an ulterior evil motive, so when they announced the NW Islands National Monument thing the first two things that jumped into my head were

A. Secret Prisons
B. Tactical Nuclear Testing

i agree with you, i was very suspicious, but also really stoked. i figured he's just going for the environmental votes as if this will null all other shit he's pulled. I'm going out there the september for a month for work, diving on scientific instruments (wave-tide recorders ect.) we have out there... can't wait, it's meant to be pristine and the monument status means that they can't build, fish or... nulcear test there. i hope
i'll post pictures when i get back

I've seen pictures and apparently they are covered in rubbish that has been brought in by the tides.
