Just wondering if anyone knows of any birds that regularly migrate to Hawaii. I'm curious to how the bird flu virus would come here or if we are safe from it due to geographical isolation. I'm not talking about the pandemic that is being hyped, just the flu that's currently found in birds.

i dont think birds can make the flight to the islands.

and its a crime to bring them in.

they are either indigenous or have been traded to the natives back in the day.

i watched a show that said the native hawaiians are responsible for the extinction of over 100 native birds, they captured and killed the animals and used the feathers for capes, lies and headdresses.

i dont think we need to worry about it here. but if ur going on a surf trip to indo bring lots of power bars.

30 deaths is the total in indo, and a 28 year old woman just died from what they are calling "bird flu"

What about the Albatross? I could swear I read some place they can fly thousands of miles (and i'm too lazy to look it up even though it is probably a click away).
